I’m being a greek goddess for Halloween and I don’t want to buy a costume that I’m only going to wear once. If you can find a cheap one for around that would be great. Oh I want it around knee lenghth.
Thanks!

Early Greek clothing was the chiton, and for a female you should take two sheets that go from wrist to wrist when your arms are outstretched and just above the ankles when hung from shoulder level. Pin or use toggle clasps to attach the two together along the top edge, leaving a neck hole. Using a long decorative piece of cording, hold it behind your neck and bring it forward over your shoulders, criss-crossing over your bosom and wrapping around your torso twice to tie together at your waist.
Try thrift stores for used costumes, or e-bay. You can also take a white sheet and fold it until you have the length you desire when held just below your armpit. Wrap the sheet around you once, ending it at your left shoulder. Pin it from inside so it doesn’t show. Take the rest of the sheet and throw it over your shoulder. Gather at the top of the shoulder with a decorative pin or a thin cord. Another length of cord is wrapped under the breasts, crossing in the back and crossing again in the front by your waist, cross again in the low back and knot in the front at your hips.
Sandals should be either gold or plain white, no heels.
