Hi so i bought this white dress. comes just above the knee, flowy. and its in a greacian style. low v neck with some gold bands round the empire line. I was wondering wether that was ok for a black tie event.
because when i wear it it looks really nice but it makes me look like im going to a fancy dress party as a greek goddess?!!

I am having a courthouse wedding on the 19th of July. Then after we are taking the whole family out for a nice reception dinner at a fancy restaurant. I know it’s the courthouse, but I still wanted to wear at a least a simple white dress to my wedding. What do you think of this one? My hubby to be is Greek and I think the dress is very Grecian-style so it suits the occasion. My body type is hourglass, if that helps. And please don’t advise me to get a fancier dress. It’s not what I am going for.

I have to have things that symbolize her and somewhat dress like her.
But no body has over done it, so I just need something simple. (not all fancy, halloween costume big..
Ex/ somebody just put a brown blanket over them to be a "dead bear"..and someone wore a dress with animals on it.
no dresses for me..=]
So..As like props or symbols I am taking wheat and a torch since that’s what she carrys.
U can’t go anywhere to a store or anything so it has to be from home =)
I was thinking just to wear like a brown shirt or pink/navy blue/etc..colors that represent her..?
give me some other ideas please..
im not doing big..like no sheets and stuff please..simple but i will get the points..?

I want to be a greek goddess for Halloween, and I want to make my own costume. I don’t want a costume design that looks like some stripper threw up on me either. I just want a respectable costume that I can wear to go trick-or-treating. I’ve been searching the internet for about an hour and can’t find any really good costume ideas. I want the whole shebang too. Laurel wreath, maybe some makeup, hairstyle, sandals, everything. Whoever can give me the best answer wins 10 points!
Again, I want to MAKE MY OWN COSTUME! I need directions, and pictures of those directions. I don’t want you to just show me pictures and expect me to konw how to make it.

In November we have our grade 11 semi-formal, the only thing is, is that it is fancy dress. I am looking for original ideas for a costume.

K well I’m a sophomore in high school. I wanna be a greek goddess and my costume is a white dress, with goddess Accessories and stuff. I wanna wear it to school but i dont wanna be the only one dressed up all fancy lol. see, halloween is on a saturday, but could i wear the costume on friday at school without ppl looking at me weird?
I really want to be a greek goddess for halloween tomorrow, but the problem is, i’m not very creative. I know how to tie a toga from a white bedsheet, but I have no clue what else I can do to make the costume "complete" haha
I don’t have very much time to go out to a costume store to buy a lot, so it would be awesome if I could make the whole costume from what I have at home.
I need ideas on hair, makeup, jewelry, shoes, and any other accessories. And btw, i’m 14.

im going to a costume party at the end of october and im stuck for ideas, im 16 so i cant really go in anything reveling – it will be cold too as it may be outside. I have a budget of about £10 and these are my ideas so far:
